Le Pain Quotidien
Usually, I walk past Le Pain Quotidien to go to Flor de Mayo but as I walked past today, someone called out my name and it turned out to be my friend, Ingrid. I had forgotten she's leaving for Israel soon so I joined her and her date for lunch. I love French food, but nothing on their menu really appealed to me (I wanted breakfast but could not bring myself to order the only type of eggs they serve, soft-boiled) and I ended up ordering the Paris ham sandwich with three mustards which I thought was ok but not worth ten dollars (I had many good five dollar sandwiches in Paris) but I was really impressed with their hazelnut butter, which is left out on the table and is superb. Luckily, they sell what I like to call the peanut-butter version of Godiva (even though Godiva is not my favorite chocolate, it's a just a brand most people recognize) and I look forward to eating more of it at home.
