Shopping in Soho
I headed down to Soho today to go to this sample sale. I need jeans but I avoid paying over $50 for jeans so I left with only a t-shirt. I'm rarely in Soho, so I decided to walk down Broadway to Canal Street. I was happy to see Eastern Mountain Sports as I've been looking for some outdoor clothing in hopes that we'll be going to Patagonia. I thought EMS would be less expensive than Paragon but I walked out disappointed. I stopped by American Eagle which I always thought was supposed to be a poor man's Abercrombie & Fitch but they're prices don't seem that way anymore. I had never been to the Uniqlo in Soho and was happy to find it on Broadway. The store is large but, unfortunately, they're still Gap-like sans the sales. Unfortunately, I can never seem to leave H&M without buying something--in this case, a shirt that I suspect will look great under a blazer. I also picked up a hoodie that I wasn't 100% sold on but I was influenced in part by my decision not to buy this item, by the fact that it was cold (how the hottest day of the summer is followed by the coldest day of the summer two days later still eludes me), and my desire for hoodie type clothing for Argentina. I had a little bit of buyer's regret when I discovered stains on the sleeve when I returned home, however.
