Last 24 hours

Adam and I had bought tickets for yesterday's David Cross/Todd Barry/Jon Benjamin show at Southpaw so we met up for dinner beforehand in Park Slope. We were going to go to Al di La, but then I read about the prix fixe at Tempo and we agreed to go there instead. It was an excellent decision--the food was very good--I loved Adam's ham and cheese croquettes, my pasta dish (unfortunately, I forgot the name of it, but it tasted like a pasta version of one of my favorite dishes, coq au vin), and Adam's sticky date and toffee pudding.

The comedy show was good--Adam and I really like the hosts of the show and there was a surprise appearance by Kristen Schaal, the actress who plays the number one fan and probably our favorite character in HBO's Flight of the Conchords.

Today, I got to see parts of Brooklyn which I've never seen before in a car, which was fun, and make a long-awaited visit to Di Fara Pizza. The first slice I had, which was a regular slice, was good but not memorable (the person I went with said it was an off-day) but the Sicilian slice I had was really good. Must go back.
