Baltimore
Adam's brother and his wife live in Baltimore and, this weekend, we took our annual trip down to see them. They know we love food and asked where we preferred to eat our first night and we unanimously voted for this place. The food was good though it was a small portions type of restaurant and, by my second glass of wine, I was pretty tipsy and somewhat mistakenly ordered the creme brulee but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise since there was high quality chocolate at the bottom of the creme brulee.
Saturday, we had breakfast at one of my favorite breakfast places, went to a state park where we caught a glimpse of a white-tailed deer, and then strolled through downtown Annapolis. After waiting for an hour for the bus back to New York, Adam and I swore we'd take the train in the future but we definitely enjoyed our time in Baltimore. Adam's brother and his wife actually live in a suburb of Baltimore and, while I generally have an aversion of suburbs, the suburb they live in is pretty nice and the appeal of living in a less urbanized place occasionally does resonate with me, especially when I saw the swimming pool and barn swallow nest right outside their doorstep.
