Yakitori Totto

I think I'm going to try posting about food more often since Adam and I love food and I think some of the places we eat out at are worth writing about. Tonight, we went to Yakitori Totto, a popular Japanese yakitori restaurant in midtown which specializes in chicken. We love Yakitori Totto but the wait can be substantial if you don't make reservations. I forgot to make reservations until about an hour before they opened today so I ran there after work so we could get seats at the bar. My efforts paid off--tonight's dinner was sooo good. Highly recommended are the negima (chicken thigh and scallion), the skirt steak, and the tsukune (organic chicken meatball). I also ordered a chicken and rice dish which is cooked over a low flame for about thirty minutes. I love the combination of chicken and rice but this one was not as good as the yakitori. I wish I had some photos to share but, of course, the one time I should have brought my camera to a restaurant, I forgot to!
