Wedding

Congratulations to Liliane and Mike who just got married yesterday during wedding number one! (wedding number two will take place in Nevis a day short of the fourth of July). I could not be happier for them and only wish that Adam and I could attend their wedding in Nevis. Some photos below:

The Catholic ceremony

The Korean ceremony, known as PyeBaek, which basically involves bowing and the offerring of wine on the part of the couple to different sets of their immediate families and the tossing of dates and chestnuts into the bride's wedding skirt (symbolizing the offspring they bride and groom will have).

Let the tossing of the dates and chestnuts begin!

Liliane's mom actually wrote all the calligraphy in the background

At the conclusion, the groom must carry the bride off on his back
