Meerkat Manor and other cuteness
I have seen many animal programs in my lifetime (having started when I was young) but I have never loved an animal program as I do Meerkat Manor. It all started one evening when Adam was watching TV and beckoned to me that there was a show featuring meerkats, an animal he's liked ever since seeing them at the National Zoo. I like meerkats but the thought of seeing them on TV didn't draw me over at first but eventually I made my way over there to find what's basically a sitcom/reality show about meerkats. And Animal Planet's smart enough to know that an actual show about just any animal wouldn't do but on an animal that is as highly socialized as meerkats are and you have the formula for the perfect animal show. I never knew much about meerkats but after just one episode, I was addicted. They are fascinating--it is such an engaging show. Now, I rush home on Friday nights to watch this show--it's that bad, but it's so good.
Since we're on the subject of cuteness, I had to share this photo of my favorite (and currently only) nephew. Look at that face!
