Intrigued by the description, Adam and I went to see this movie on Friday. It was somewhat stranger than I had expected, but Adam loved it. I did really like the current exhibit at the Japan Society though which features artifacts and artwork reflecting Japanese pop culture though the admission price ($12) is pretty steep considering the exhibit only spans a few rooms.

Yesterday, I finally stopped by Shake Shack. I was on my way to dinner, so I only had room for a burger but the burger was very good though I question whether it deserved to win New York Magazine's best burger title. Speaking of New York Magazine, my friend Ingrid also directed my attention to Amy Sohn's latest column--I can't believe the girl is pregnant! If anyone's read Amy's earlier column in NY Press, you'd know what I mean.

Today, I went to see this movie which I highly recommend. The French are so good at exploring the subject of marriage and relationships. Excellent integration of Radiohead music as well. And, not to spoil it for you girls, but there's a cameo by a certain actor who currently lives in France and has been the subject of a number of crushes but I've never been privvy to, but the Frenchified version of this actor is definitely very appealing.

I work a few blocks from the Shake Shack and therefore get dragged there too often for lunch - I find it really overrated. I had no idea it won Best Burger! NY Burger Co. on Park and 24th - now THAT'S some good stuff.

I hate overrated burger places. I don't think COrner Bistro or Burger Joint are that great either.

I'm happiest with a gigantic Gaelic Burger from Connolly's - giant, drippy burger on a thick bun with fried onions and irish ham. That with a side of half fries/half onion rings and a Guinness is the best lunch/heart attack anyone could ask for.
