So I just planned my birthday and while I'm not excited about turning 30, I am looking forward to karaoke. I was listening to Liz Phair's recent self-titled album when "Why Can't I?" came on and memories of my most recent karaoke shining moment came flooding back. There's a lot of songs I love but, as I've discovered, just because you love them, it doesn't mean you can sing them. But "Why Can't I?" is a perfect karaoke song--it has the romantic streak that I love and the even-toned range I can sing.
